FAQ
Outdoor learning offers children multiple benefits, including:
1. Enhanced Physical Health: It encourages active play, which promotes motor skills and fitness. Exposure to natural light can improve immunity and sleep quality.
2. Mental Well-being: Time outdoors reduces stress and anxiety, fostering emotional resilience. Nature-based activities also build confidence and independence.
3. Social Skills Development: Outdoor learning nurtures collaboration, communication, and conflict resolution through group activities and teamwork.
4. Improved Cognitive Skills: Natural settings support focus, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, enhancing children’s curiosity and attention span.
5. Environmental Awareness: Direct engagement with nature fosters a deep appreciation for the environment and a sense of stewardship.
Overall, outdoor learning supports holistic development by engaging children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth in ways traditional indoor settings often do not.
Not at all. We are happy to accept payment in person with cash or check, or online.
We offer monthly enrollment packages, with payment due by the first Friday of each month.
To provide students with a comprehensive learning experience that includes observing seasonal changes and engaging in the unique opportunities each season offers, we structure our program for the full school year (August–June). Open enrollment is available, allowing new students to join as spots become available.
Enrollment remains active through the end of the school year (June) unless a 30-day written notice of withdrawal is submitted in advance.
We ask that you pack the following for your child each day: a water bottle, lunch, snacks, a jacket, a hat, and sunscreen during warmer months, as well as a rain jacket and rain boots during cooler months. Please pack lunch in an easy-to-open container or lunchbox to encourage independence. Be sure to label your child’s water bottle and lunchbox with their name (or a name sticker) to help us keep belongings organized.
Please dress your child in clothes they can get dirty! We embrace playing in the dirt and will be doing painting crafts.
If we get rain we will look forward to playing in mud puddles and learning about weather! If we know it will be a rainy day we ask you to pack an extra pair of clothes for your child and dress them in warm clothes with a rain jacket and boots.
