🌿 Tiny Trailblazers Daily Rhythm

 

We follow this schedule loosely depending on the flow of the day, children’s interests, and the weather.

 

9:00 – Arrival & Free Play

Children ease into the day with open-ended play and activity stations.

 

9:30 – Circle Time

Includes a calendar review, seasonal songs, and a nature-based topic-of-the-day discussion.

 

10:00 –

🔹 Big Kids Hike (ages 4+): Children head out for an extended hike and nature exploration (if high heat or heavy rain is present we replace the hike with additional activities and learning stations on the patio).

🔹 Younger Children: Optional snack and continued play at basecamp.

 

10:15 – Read Aloud (for younger group)

A nature- or kindness-themed book connected to our topic of the day.

 

10:30 – Craft or Guided Activity (for younger group)

Hands-on, open-ended art or skill-building activity related to our theme.

 

11:00 – Gardening, Harvesting, or Sensory Play (for younger group)

 

11:45 – Big Kids Return & Group Clean Up / Hand Washing

 

12:00 – Lunch Time

 

12:15-12:45- Reading time: Children are invited to sit or lie on blankets in the shade while an instructor reads a selection of books aloud. This is a calm, restful time for our bodies and brains. Children may come and go as they wish, but we encourage a peaceful atmosphere where everyone can relax and enjoy the stories.

 

12:45 – STEM Activity (for full-day students)

Hands-on exploration involving science, building, problem-solving, or nature-based experiments.

 

1:45 – Closing Circle

Group reflection, gratitude practice, or nature journaling.

 

2:00 – Pickup

 

2:00–3:00 – Optional Extended Care
